Grief Share

GriefShare is a weekly program that runs in a continuous cycle throughout the year to minister to people who are grieving the loss of someone close to them.  

We meet every Tuesday night from 7pm until 830pm for 13-weeks. We'll be meeting at the new church home located at 601 Yaxley Drive, click here for directions. The cost is $15 which is for the participant’s workbook that will be used during the course. If the participant wishes to attend additional 13-week sessions there are no additional charges.

HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR GRIEFSHARE?

Much healing occurs when people have the opportunity to talk about their grief experiences and hear others who are dealing with similar problems. Immediately following the videotape we'll have the support group session which allows an opportunity for discussion on the content of the tape and a time of personal sharing for group members.

The support group discussion time is led by lay facilitators who have suffered the loss of a loved one and will allow people to share their feelings and experiences. Each attendee will come to understand that “they are not alone,” that there are others who are going through similar experiences. The support group becomes a “family,” with members ministering to each other.

Combines Seminar and Support Group Strategies
Teaching and instruction is essential to help people grieve, but lacks the "heart" and emotional care a support group can provide. Conversely, a support group without instruction can quickly deteriorate without guided discussion. By combining instruction and support group, GriefShare provides the balance that creates effective, meaningful ministry.

Grief Share is Christ-Centered
True healing from a hurt as deep as the death of a loved one must be built on a relationship with Jesus Christ. This message is reflected throughout the Griefshare videos and print resources. The videos feature grief topics from a Christ-centered, Biblical approach. These videotapes feature on-location video, the real-life stories of people experiencing grief and interviews with grief recovery subjects.

GriefShare is Built on Biblical Concepts
The Bible is presented as the practical guide to grief recovery in the GriefShare video series and workbook. Group participants learn that Scripture provides essential guidance on topics such as grieving, loss, emotions, death and eternal life.
