  • We believe that prayer and God's Word are foundational to all we do.

  • We believe in leading people to know God through worship and relationship.

  • We believe in helping people find freedom through small groups.

  • We believe in guiding people to discover their God-given purpose.

  • We believe in equipping each person to make a difference.

Senior Pastor

Pastor David Janney

Pam and I moved to Purcellville back in 1995. We instantly fell in love with Loudoun County and its people. God has blessed us with three wonderful children, Josh, Jon and Suzy – all three grew up in Purcellville and graduated from Loudoun Valley High School.

My passion is to lead others to abundant life in Christ. I discovered it when I was 31 years old. I’d like to tell you my story. You can hear it at Growth Track on Sunday evenings every month. I have degrees from Cairn University, Denver Seminary and Southeastern Seminary.

I love preaching and praying for others. I also enjoy running, all kinds of table games, and German Chocolate Cake! My life verse is Jeremiah 18:6 “As clay is in the potter’s hands, so are you in My hands.” When you visit PBC, be sure to stop by Guest Reception. I look forward to meeting you.

What to Expect

At Purcellville Baptist, we think church should be fun! You will find that our services are energetic and upbeat. Our worship experience involves modern praise and worship songs followed by a Bible-centered teaching. As an community church, we welcome people from all walks of life to join us. Church is a time to come together with believers, be challenged, encouraged and equipped through God’s word. We know that being new is sometimes intimidating, but at PBC, it is our desire that you feel welcomed from the start! Upon your first visit please head to our Guest reception area after the service which is located in the back of the Sanctuary, and one of our trained volunteers will talk to you about our church and give you a little gift. Our worship experience lasts for about an hour. We encourage you to come early, hang out and grab a cup of coffee at our refreshment table in the lobby. We can’t wait to meet you!

Come As You Are

At Purcellville Baptist, we want you to feel comfortable. There is no dress code, you are welcome to come as you are.
