Bolivia Day 3
Bolivia July 20
We had a great day in Cochabamba! We started out the day by going to a Bolivian market in LaCancha. It was about 20 square blocks of vendor after vendor, selling everything from fruits, spices, and vegetables to meats, tools and kitchen wares. Our loved ones can expect some traditional Bolivian swag when we return. In the afternoon we went to a church that PBC helped to build at the Brickyards. We put on a VBS for 100 kids, which included games and crafts and a story by our wonderful acting troupe. Our story is You Are Special by Max Lucado, a story which is very relevant for all Christians, but especially so for these kids who are without basic necessities and looked down upon by society. We ended our day by handing out food and juice which we brought, and chocolate milk which was provided by Compassion International. It was a great day, and we were blessed by the beautiful Bolivians that we met. Joe and Denise are such gracious hosts, and we were treated to Denise's wonderful cooking. Tomorrow we will travel to Coriuma 2, to another church where we will help with a medical and dental mission, and evangelism. Can’t wait to see the people of Coriuma, which is up in the mountains. Miss you all, and can’t wait to share our adventures with you.
