Zambia day 8
Blog by Alan Partain
It is finished! On a day that we recognize and celebrate the ‘risen Lord’, we also celebrate the completion of the Chongwe ‘My Fathers House’ playground. This playground began with a vision from Courtney Foster and was completed by the teenagers from Zambia along with our team from America. After carrying over 100 wheelbarrows of sand/gravel over 19 miles of walking, mixing cement for over 5 hours by shovel after shovel, and spreading out the sand around the playground; we officially opened their playground during an official ceremony on Friday morning. This was attended by both the Lusaka and Chongwe families. Words can’t describe the joy in our eyes and the excitement of the kids as they played and played and played on their playground that was built by their older Zambian siblings along with us.
Thank you for your financial support of this project and your prayers throughout! God orchestrated and put together the most energetic and hardworking team ever. What a blessing this trip has been. See you soon ..we miss you.
